The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) invites application from Indian Citizens for the posts of Veterinary and Specialist Medical Officers on prescribed application forms only :
Veterinary Doctors : 143 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100 AGP Rs.5400/-, Age : 21-35 years
Specialist Medical Officers : 583 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 15600 – 39100 AGP Rs.5400/-, Age : 21-40 years
Application Fee : Rs.130/- (Rs.90/- for SC/ST/PH candidates of Uttarakhand) in the form of bank DD / Postal Order in favor of Secretary, Uttarakhand Public Service Service Commission, Haridwar payable at Haridwar. Candidate should write their name, address at the back of the DD/IPO.
How to Apply : Application forms in the prescribed format completed in all respects must reach the Secretary, Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Gurukul Kangri, Haridwar-249404 at the commission office either by registered post/ speed post or personally (by hand) up to 06-00 P.M.
General Instructions:
1. Notwithstanding anything in clause (1), the President may by order remove from office the Chairman or any other Member of a Public Service Commission if the Chairman of such other Member, as the case may be( is adjudged an insolvent; engages during his term of office in any paid employment outside the duties of his office;
2. is, in the opinion of the President, unfit to continue in office by reason of infirmity of mind or body. If the Chairman or any other Member of a Public Service Commission is or becomes in any way concerned or interested in any contract or agreement made by or on behalf of the Government of India
3. Power to make regulations as to conditions of service of Members and Staff of the Commission In the case of the Union Commission or a Joint Commission, the President and, in the case of a State Commission, the Governor of the State may by regulationsdetermine the number of Members of the Commission and their conditions of service ;
4. make provision with respect to the number of Members of the staff of the Commission and their conditions of service:Provided that the conditions of service of a Member of a Public Service Commission shall not be varied to his disadvantage after his appointment. Prohibition as to the holding of offices by Members of Commission on ceasing to be such Members On ceasing to hold office
5. the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission shall be ineligible for further employment either under the Government of India or under the Government of a State;
the Chairman of a State Public Service Commission shall be eligible for appointment as the Chairman or any other Member of the Union Public Service Commission or as the Chairman of any other State Public Service Commission, but not for any other employment either under the Government of India or under the Government of a State;
6. a Member other than the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission shall be eligible for appointment as the Chairman of the Union Public Service Commission or as the Chairman of a State Public Service Commission, but not for any other employment either under the Government of India or under the Government of a State;
7. a Member other than the Chairman of a State Public Service Commission shall be eligible for appointment as the Chairman or any other member of the Union Public Service Commission or as the Chairman of that or any other States Public Service Commission, but not for any other employment either under the Government of India or under the Government of a State.
8. Functions of Public Service Commission It shall be the duty of the Union and the State Public Service Commissions to conduct examinations, for appointments to the Services of the Union and the Services of the State respectively. It shall also be the duty of the Union Public Service Commission, if requested by any two

About the organization :
The State of Uttarakhand came into existence on 09 th November, 2000 under the Reorganisation of Uttar Pradesh Act 2000. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission was Constituted under the provisions of the Article 315 of the Constitution of India by the Governor of Uttarakhand vide Notification No. 247/1Karmik2001 dated 14 th March, 2001(Annexure1). At present the strength of the Commission is the Chairman & the four Members(Annexure2). The working of Uttarakhand Public Service Commission is regulated by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission Procedure and Conduct of Business Rule2007{ Framed by the Lok sewa Ayog Uttarakhand under section 11 of U.P. State Lok sewa Ayog(Prakriya ka viniyaman) Adhiniyam, 1985 Uttarakhand Anukulan awam Upantaran Adesh, 2002.}following are the Constitutional powers of Constitution of India of the Commission:Article relating to Public Service Commission 315Public Service Commission for the Union and for the State( Subject to the provisions of this Article, there shall be a Public ServiceCommission for the Union and a Public Service Commission for each State. Two or more state may agree that there shall be one Public Service Commission for that group of States and if a resolution to that effect is passed by the House or, where there are two Houses, by each House of the Legislature of each of those States, Parliament may by law provide for the appointment of a Joint State Public Service Commission (referred to in this Chapter as Joint Commission) to serve the needs of those States. Any such law as aforesaid may contain such incidental and consequential provisions as may be necessary
